What are effective, tractable next steps that can be taken towards the mitigation of lead exposure sources in Malawi?

Last month, LeRA published a report titled Assessing Lead Exposure Risks from Commonly Used Consumer Products in Malawi, presenting the findings of our market-based study on lead content in consumer products across Malawi.

As an organisation focused on producing decision-relevant research, we continually consider how our work can support the development and implementation of solutions to childhood lead poisoning. Building on the findings of our Malawi study, LeRA is excited to present a follow-up report that outlines key recommendations and proposed next steps for addressing the lead exposure risks identified.

We hope this report will help guide mitigation-focused NGOs, government agencies, and researchers working to eliminate sources of lead exposure in Malawi.
